Frequently Asked Questions

Shipping, returns, plant health, winter shipping, and live arrival — everything you need before you order.

Shipping

Do you offer shipping?+

Yes! We ship most plants within the U.S. Shipping availability depends on the size, season, weather, and destination to help ensure your plants arrive safely. Shipping options and estimated delivery dates will be confirmed before your order is finalized.

Where are you located?+

Once Upon A Plant is based in the Atlanta, Georgia area. We provide plant services throughout the metro Atlanta region and also ship plants to most locations within the United States.

When do you ship?+

Shipping days are chosen with weather and carrier timing in mind. Specific shipping details are confirmed at the time of order.

Where do you ship?+

Shipping regions and any current restrictions will be confirmed when you reach out — please contact us for details.

How is my plant packaged?+

Each plant is secured at the root ball, wrapped to protect foliage, and boxed with sizing that minimizes movement in transit. Fragile leaves get extra padding.

Local Pickup

Do you offer local pickup?+

Local pickup may be available by appointment. Message us and we'll let you know if it's an option for your order.

Can I see the plant before I buy?+

We take great care in selecting healthy, beautiful plants for every customer. Unless an exact plant is specifically listed or otherwise stated, all plants are grower's choice. Because every plant is unique, natural variations in size, shape, and coloration should be expected.

Returns

Do you accept returns?+

Because plants are living, we don't accept general returns. If something arrives damaged or unwell, reach out promptly and we'll work through it with you.

What if I change my mind?+

Reach out before your order ships and we'll do our best to accommodate a swap or cancellation.

Plant Health

How do you inspect plants before shipping?+

Every plant is checked for pests, root health, and overall condition before it's boxed. Anything that isn't ready to ship stays with us until it is.

Some leaves look a little stressed on arrival — is that normal?+

Yes. Minor droop or a curled leaf after transit is common and typically resolves within a week or two with steady light and humidity. See our Plant Care page for shipping recovery tips.

Cold-Weather Shipping

Do you ship in winter?+

Cold-weather shipping is handled case by case. We monitor forecasts and may delay a shipment during extreme cold to keep your plant safe.

Can I request a hold?+

Absolutely. Reach out any time and we'll hold your plant until conditions are safer.

Arrival

What if my plant arrives damaged?+

Please send clear photos of the box and the plant as soon as possible after delivery and we'll work with you on the best next step.

What's outside our control?+

Delays caused by carriers, extreme weather, incorrect shipping addresses, or plants left outside for extended periods after delivery.
